In the same sense that Ross Mayfield suggests that we have a Flu Wiki (What ...Ross support use of Wikis?) to track the spread of viruses. I think that there is a mass potential for the integration of wiki technology and Google maps for the collective editing of meta information about disease.
As the large epidemiology studies progress why are we not encouraging the users to sign into wikis and enter in information about their status and answer questions via a wiki. Remove the group editing ability but maintain the information aggregation capacity and you get a very visual and powerful tool that could map things like street crime to cancer rates in specific geographical locations.
