I have been active on Friendster for years and have never received Spam messages. I have seen the growth of their online advertising model, and their shift and expansion of new connectivity services ... but I have never received Spam ... until today. I have a private message - junk work from home - from someone in my extended network. My extended Network is supposed to keep me safe from these kinds of people. My Extended Network knows I hate junk and that they should be wary of anyone who hocks it and not let them 'in'. The concept works better when the people involved are more concerned with the quality of their connections and not the quantity. I made some adjustments to my profile and hope it will not happen again. It is just disappointing that 1. I can not see the trail of connectivity so I can break the connection, and 2. the possibility that they are not in my network and paid Friendster for the privilege to spam me.
