Yesterday my wife had an operation to fix her Peroneus Brevis Tendon. Thankfully my mother-in-law flew in to help us out for a few days! The operation took less time than scheduled because the problem was different than they though. The original diagnosis was a vertical split in the Peroneus Brevis Tendon, but it was intact 100%. What the doctor did find was an extra long muscle that actually extended way to far down the length of the tendon. This extra muscle was presenting the tendon from sitting in the tendon grove properly resulting in inflammation, tendinitis, and general pain. She is at home now on some medication and generally in a so-so mood. I guess anyone would be if they had their fool opened up and muscle trimmed out!
I'm going to have this surgery as well. Any new info.?
