Johny Ming of Second Cast has a very cool recording of the first application of built in voice communication in Second Life. Voice is something that residents have been waiting for / fearing for long while. While many of us want to use voice to further enhance the communication capacity of SL, others worry about the privacy issued that come along with having your voice give away your true gender, age, or even species in some cases.
As a mobilization tool, SL only gets better with the addition. Its uses for business applications grows as does its appeal for collaborative works. Now we have a 3-D wiki and a means to effectively communicate and build simultaneously. Soon the limiting factor of builds will not be the time it takes to type a message in between connecting primitive objects.
